Special notes for an intimate escape
Moments to plan for two.
Couples' spa day
Truskavets is built around its mineral springs. Book a couples' massage and thermal pool session for your slow day.
Lake Synevyr at sunrise
Arrive early, before the tour buses, and take the wooden raft out to the island in the middle of the lake.
Logistics and travel tips
Safety
Check the current US State Department advisory for Ukraine before booking. Ukrainian airspace is currently closed, so most travelers arrive by train or car from Poland.
Car
A rental car makes the loop easy. Mountain roads are winding, so allow extra time between towns.
Money
Ukrainian hryvnia. Cards work in Lviv and the resort towns; carry cash for markets and village cafés.
Language
Ukrainian is spoken everywhere. English is common in Lviv hotels; a few words of Ukrainian go a long way.
